Incorporated

a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting immigrants, refugees, and underserved families

WELCOME TO MAO

We serve anyone in need —regardless of background

—About Us

Founded in 2025, we exist to empower individuals and families with culturally-sensitive, holistic support. From food and clothing to employment services and emotional care, we walk with our community every step of the way.

Our Mission

To empower underserved individuals—primarily immigrants, refugees, women, and minorities—through holistic support. We provide financial, emotional, and material assistance while fostering dignity, resilience, and inclusion.

Our Vision

A thriving, inclusive community where every immigrant and underserved family has the opportunity, resources, and confidence to achieve independence and build a brighter future.

Our Programs

From urgent needs to long-term empowerment, our programs are designed to help families not just survive—but thrive. Each service is rooted in cultural understanding, dignity, and care.

Our Impact

Since our founding, Million and One INC. NFP has touched the lives of countless families across Cook County and the Chicagoland Area.

From providing meals and clothing to supporting households with rent and utilities, our work has helped ease the burdens of everyday survival. Beyond immediate relief, we have walked with individuals as they prepared resumes, attended interviews, and secured meaningful jobs—steps that lead to lasting independence. Every act of support not only meets an urgent need but also restores dignity, strengthens resilience, and builds a sense of belonging. With your partnership, we can continue breaking the cycle of poverty and create brighter futures for even more families.

Your Support Matters

Real change begins when communities come together.

Impact Story

Amanuel: From Struggle to Strength

When Amanuel arrived in Chicago from Eritrea, he faced an uncertain future. With no job, limited English, and no nearby family, every day felt like an uphill battle.

Through Million and One INC. NFP, Amanuel received food and clothing from our Donation Center, help applying for public benefits, and one-on-one support with his job search. Within months, he secured stable employment and began building a new life for himself and his family.

Today, Amanuel is not just surviving—he’s thriving. He calls Million and One “a family that welcomed me when I had no one else.”
